Years ago, I was into sewing and quilt-making. Many pieces were given away. These are the few early ones that I took the time to photograph, as I was learning about piecing and hand-dyeing custom fabrics.

Love of Quilting
I go through sewing phases where I’ll make a lot of clothes and quilts, and then take long breaks. I give away a lot of quilts and often forget to photograph them first. The few I’ve got pictures of are posted below.
My interest in quiltmaking led to hand-dyeing my own fabric to get the colours just right. From there, I dyed so much fabric that I ended up having a business teaching and selling hand-dyes.
Last year I published three books sharing everything I know about hand-dyeing, how to teach dyeing workshops and earn good money doing it, and the story of my business (which took over my life for a while).
