From old-fashioned statues to modern day moss women, there are countless ways to represent women in the garden.

I’m a big fan of the one-of-a-kind creations that include plants.

I’m a big advocate for having a pond in every garden (if safe and possible) because water really is life. So many wild things will thrive with access to clean, reliable fresh water.

When I made my current ponds, what I wasn’t expecting was how quickly frogs showed up and moved in. I mean, with no water nearby, where the heck did they hop from? It’s a mystery to me but a welcome one.

I’ve never thought of myself of as a frog fan but I guess I really am. I love it as I quietly work in the garden and look to see a dozen or so frogs all sunning themselves by the pond. So calm and quiet yet able to snatch flies almost faster than my eyes can see!
